Therapeutic Riding Program

A therapeutic riding program helps people with physical, mental or psychological challenges. Horses are used to get people out of their boring routine and into something interesting and stimulating.

The motion of the horse helps to improve the rider’s flexibility, balance, and strength.

The caring staff help riders with many different disabilities which leads to increased self-confidence and ability to get along with others in society.

The challenges are kept within the individual abilities of the student so they gain a feeling of accomplishment.

For people with mobility problems the horse offers a way to move around as good as an able bodied person.

Caring for the horse gets people out of their self-pity routine and involves them with helping the horse which is very appreciative of the attention and thoughtfulness of the student.
